EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is a treatment approach to healing past traumatic memories. Bilateral stimulation, mindfulness, somatic experience, and positive resourcing are used to unlock and aid in eliciting subconscious processing and adaptive resolution. EMDR is also used to help improve daily functioning and self-esteem. With effective EMDR treatment, physical and physiological distress is relieved and negative beliefs are transformed on an emotional level.
